Introducing Mrs Cedars...

i just thought you should know that mrs cedars has finally taken the plunge and joined the forum.

she was able to log on for the first time yesterday.. though we both "awakened" at different stages, mrs cedars was very supportive and non-judgmental when i first began exploring my beliefs from a critical standpoint.

she is currently in the process of reading crisis of conscience and aquainting herself with some of the facts of witness history that were hitherto unknown.

if you look on page 10, "what is god's purpose for the earth?," you'll see an illustration of adam in the garden--with a belly button!!

what were the wt artists thinking????.

Our bodies have several organs that we don't need- not that I'm comparing a perfect man with the rest of us.

However, we don't need the tonsils, gallbladder, spleen, but we were born with them.

I just don't see why it would be completely unreasonable.

On the other hand- I have been asleep for the past 20 years!!! I am old and uneducated( haven't been able to copy and paste any blurbs!!!LOL)

Ok. S2S, I hear you!!! LOL!!! but do the artists know what the angels look like? Or the Garden of Eden, etc.?

It's all artistic license.

But, I get what your saying.

It still doesn't necessarily mean that just because Adam was a direct creation that he wasn't still given a belly button.

i've been lurking on the forum for over a year now.

i'm not an ex jw but have some weird connections to the group none the less.. i was raised in the worldwide church of god.

a lot in common with jws.

It's good to have you here. There are others here who are not or were not JW's, but have family members in the WTB&TS.

I have over the past month or so realized that I've been a part of a cult for the past 20 years!!! It's absolutely mind-boggling.

It's amazing that your family went from Armstrong to both JW's and Mormons.

Good for you to have escaped and glad you're here!!!!!!!!!
